AI is Everywhere Right Now - Are you Embracing it?

I want to home in on a few important points in this article.

AI (artificial intelligence) presents an array of benefits for us in terms of efficiency and productivity gains.

It’s not just a trend.

But we need to be cognisant of how we use it.

I came across this saying, which really stuck with me: ‘Information is not Transformation’, and this applies to AI/Chat GPT.

You can get ALL the information and data from Chat GPT, but how you use it and apply it to your life is EVERYTHING. From using it to make career decisions, to therapy advice (tread with caution!), or business strategy.

Let’s explore these points below 👇🏼

AI is everywhere right now 💥

And if you’re in the coaching or personal development space, you’ll already know it’s changing the game.

👉🏼Interestingly, in the UK, AI adoption is surprisingly low. Only 1 in 5 know about AI and use it for mental health. Younger users in their mid-20s are significantly more open to using AI tech than the middle-aged. Most of the time, it’s used when NHS or doctor wait times are too long.

Have you used AI in mental health or wellbeing? If yes, how?

Maybe my perception is slightly warped amongst my network or when I overhear how people are using Chat GPT in conversations - often as their therapist, for relationship advice, and amongst other things. Eek!

But here’s the thing: Whilst I also love a little Chat GPT to ask for “what should I do/say with this person or situation”, AI is not a replacement for coaching, and one needs to be mindful of how much you lean on it.

It’s a tool. A powerful one. And like all tools, it’s about how you use it.

So here is my POV…

1000% embrace it, don’t get left behind the ‘trend’, yet be mindful of how and what you use it for.

Use for:

✅Use it to create strategies, to streamline processes, to clarify workflows, to get advice and different perspectives on a plan, or to help finesse email copy to sound more professional.

✅You can also use it to boost your motivation, help you stay on track, or even support your goal-setting process.

But also… be cautious.

❌AI is not your therapist.

❌It won’t hold space.

❌It won’t challenge you when you’re sabotaging your growth.

❌And it won’t sit with you when things feel hard or stuck or tender.

That’s where coaching or professional support comes in.

Let’s remember that information is not transformation.

You can get knowledge from ChatGPT. But transformation takes reflection, connection, integration and deep internal work. And that’s what a professional (coach/therapist) brings.

What am I using AI for?

I’m currently building an AI agent to support my coaching clients, from discovery and onboarding to follow-ups and motivation nudges. It won’t REPLACE the coaching journey, but it will ENHANCE it.

I also use it for supporting my business strategies, to give me ideas for content, to help me finesse emails, create landing page outlines, to help with analysing crypto data (creating P&L spreadsheets!) and a few more things.

And let’s remember, the real magic happens in the space between awareness and action.

I’d love your thoughts on this topic. Are you pro AI? Or is there resistance coming up for you? How are you using it? Comment below or send me a message!
